Safe and Sound

Trauma or persistent stressors in life can at times lead to chronic dysregulation of the nervous system. During these times one can feel overwhelmed, anxious or unable to come out of rigid thought patterns. Safe and Sound offers a way to work with the nervous system to create flexibility and increase feelings of safety. Designed by Stephen Porges, Safe and Sound is a 5 hour listening program that utilises polyvagal theory to improve one’s emotional regulation.

Through the Safe and Sound program you will learn how to recognise and understand each state of your nervous system and how these states in turn affect how you feel, think and react. Together we will find new ways of relating to and moving through each of the nervous systems states, all through a background of safety created by the Safe and Sound listening.

At the end of the program you will have a better understanding of your own responses, a greater sense of connection and calm within the body and an understanding of how to flexibly be with your nervous system´s needs whilst still remaining anchored in safety.

Safe and Sound is open to anyone wanting to increase a sense of calm and well being in their life, whether a step to resolve a longstanding condition, a break from the overwhelm of daily life or simple curiosity, Safe and Sound is a listening program available for all.
